Summit Technologies and Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Support Technician to join our team in support of advanced engineering and technical development programs. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on technical work and supporting engineers in testing, troubleshooting, and system integration activities.

Engineering Support Technicians play a critical role in accurate testing, validation, and integration of new systems. This growing demand, as aerospace and defense systems become more complex reflects the need for strong technical support across engineering development and operational environments.

At Summit Technologies & Solutions, Engineering Support Technicians will assist with system setup, equipment testing, data collection, and troubleshooting across a variety of engineering projects. This role helps ensure that systems perform as intended and meet technical requirements before deployment, contributing directly to mission success.

Requirements

● Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

● Experience providing technical support in engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or a related industry is preferred.

● Knowledge of engineering principles, testing procedures, and system integration processes.

● Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical and equipment issues.

● Experience using technical tools, test equipment, and diagnostic instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, or similar equipment is preferred.

● Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.

● Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately collect, record, and analyze test data.

● Experience supporting system installation, testing, validation, and maintenance is a plus.

● Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic engineering or data analysis software.

● Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.

● Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and project teams.

● Ability to work in laboratory, manufacturing, or field environments and lift equipment as required.

● Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (or an active clearance is preferred).

● Previous experience in the aerospace, defense, or government contracting industry is highly preferred.
