Summit Technologies & Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Specialist. This role will play a critical part in protecting essential systems, defense networks, and autonomous technologies from emerging cyber threats. As a part of our team, you will help secure critical infrastructure by assessing risk, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing solutions.

This role is ideal for applicants who are passionate about Cybersecurity, risk management, and advanced technological environments. Applicants must possess great communication skills as cybersecurity

specialists must collaborate with engineers, analysts, and IT in order to respond to incidents and secure critical operations.

Requirements

● BS/BA degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.

● 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, risk management, network security, or a related discipline.

● Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, and risk assessment methodologies.

● Experience with security tools such as SIEM platforms, endpoint protection solutions, vulnerability scanners, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

● Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, cloud security concepts, and security best practices.

● Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST, RMF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, or DoD cybersecurity requirements.

● Ability to analyze security events, investigate incidents, and recommend mitigation strategies.

● Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

● Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance, if required.

● Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
